The GA has contributed to the recently published Curriculum for Climate Literacy. Dr Becky Kitchen, GA Head of Professional Development, said:
‘The GA is delighted to have worked with colleagues at the Royal Meteorological Society, the Royal Geographical Society and 25 other organisations, to develop a curriculum for climate literacy. We are pleased to see that the unique place of geography in teaching climate literacy has been recognised. We have been clear in our response to the Curriculum and Assessment Review that climate change should be strengthened in geography at all key stages, particularly KS2 and KS3. This work helps to flesh out what that might look like and mean.’
