Expert support and guidance for your school, project, or organization
The Geographical Association maintains a national register of over 50 consultants, each of them expert in specialist fields such as subject leadership, raising attainment at GCSE and A level, curriculum development, and design, assessment or GIS, and fieldwork.
They provide a wide range of support and guidance to schools, projects, and organizations that need bespoke and expert geography input.
Whatever your request, we can help!
After an initial conversation with our Senior Administrator Julie Beattie to discuss your needs, our team will match you with a consultant.
Each year we work with over 1,000 Primary and Secondary teachers, leaders and organisations on their geography provision. Recent examples of the range and scope of support that we have provided include:
- facilitating geography network meetings for local authorities and multi-academy trusts in Shropshire, Birmingham, Sheffield and Leeds
- leading professional development for Primary geography co-ordinators and trainees
- quality assurance of geography departments
- developing teaching resources for organisations including CILT, the DRY project and the Environment Agency
