About Stopsley School and 7OT/7SK

Stopsley High School is a well established 11-16 mixed Comprehensive and Community College based in Luton. The classes chosen to take part in the project, 7OT and 7SK, were both bubbly classes which reflected a spectrum of abilities and cultures.

A characteristic both classes had in common was their reluctance to take a risk in the learning environment. With this in mind the unit of work, whilst being set into a wider geographical context, was constructed with the aim of encouraging the students to take responsibility for some of their learning outcomes and become creative, critical, independent learners.
