Name of Teachers
Key Stage 3, Year 9
To investigate the enquiry question: ‘the better the environmental quality of an area, the higher the house prices’
This short sequence of learning (based on 3-4 lessons) uses secondary data to explore the enquiry question. Students’ prior knowledge and understanding is incorporated into the sequence through a questionnaire and a quiz contained in the PowerPoint. This creates an enjoyable learning activity.

Adapting this scheme for your own school
This scheme is easily adaptable to your own locality. You might like to try the housing quiz with your students using appropriate local examples. Mapping their location helps to develop students’ spatial understanding, as does asking them to annotate a map with their perceptions (misconceptions?) of an area.
