The GA makes a significant difference to how young people understand our world, society, and their place within it. We work hard in pursuit of our charitable mission, to further geographical knowledge and understanding through education. By making a gift to the GA today, you can play a part in developing this important work. We are grateful to those who have already donated to the GA and who continue to support our work.

Nurturing young geographers

Your donation could support our schemes to inspire young people and engage them with geography. Our competitions help students acquire world knowledge through face-to-face competitions or build their skills at funded residential weekends.

Supporting geography teaching

GA activities promote innovative and high-quality geography teaching in schools. We do this by supporting local schools through in-school training and Geography Quality Marks, by producing geography teaching resources, running CPD training courses for teachers, and through the GA Initiatives Fund, a charitable fund to provide teachers with opportunities they would otherwise not have to innovate in geography. These GA activities develop and inspire teachers throughout their careers.
