TeachMeets with the GA
GA TeachMeets bring together colleagues from around the GA community to share ideas in an informal setting, both face to face and online.
Each participant shares a six-minute presentation, with an idea from their context that has the potential to impact on young people and invigorate the geographical community.
We have multiple opportunities to do this throughout the academic year, from our Annual Conference TeachMeet, to our online primary and secondary TeachMeets. You can find out more about all the opportunities to connect and collaborate with other teachers and educators on this page.
Each year at the GA Annual Conference, we bring colleagues from across the geography community together for an informal, idea-packed evening of conversation, inspiration, and shared practice – the GA TeachMeet.
We invited geography teachers and geographers to take part by sharing a practical idea, classroom hack, or creative approach that has made a real difference to their teaching. Presentations are short and punchy (around 5 minutes), designed to spark discussion and give colleagues something they can take straight back to their classrooms.

The GA Conference TeachMeet was organised by the Geographical Association and Discover the World Education, as part of our strategic partnership, and offers a relaxed opportunity to share ideas outside of the main conference programme.

Termly TeachMeets
The GA Primary and Secondary TeachMeets take place throughout the year.
