What we do
We are a friendly, productive and dynamic group focusing on enabling teachers to deliver high quality fieldwork at all levels, from primary to secondary education.
FOLSIG meets three time a year both face-to-face and online, to talk all things fieldwork and support the strategic aims of the Geographical Association.
Recent projects include analysing the fieldwork aspects of GCSE and A level examinations (specifications, examiners reports, resources), writing for GA Magazine and Teaching Geography on fieldwork, producing a set of fieldwork posters (available from the Shop), writing pieces to stimulate debate and promote fieldwork, promoting the use of technology in fieldwork and working with other charities to signpost resources that will address identified teacher fieldwork needs. FOLSIG also regularly presents sessions at the annual GA conference.
If you’d like to know more about our group, we’d love to hear from you.
