A recommendation from GA’s Geography for Everyone? report was for the GA to collect and publish data on the characteristics of the GA’s Trustees, committees, staff and wider membership.
Following advice provided by the GA’s HR advisors, this work was initiated in December 2025. An equal opportunities monitoring survey was circulated to GA Trustees, committee members and staff. The survey was completed by 60 individuals and their responses were provided anonymously.
The GA will undertake an annual equal opportunities monitoring survey, which in future years will be expanded to include our wider membership.
The aggregated results are shared below.
