GA launches new website

Following a 20 month period of extensive consultation we are delighted to unveil our new website.

The objective of creating a new website was to simplify the navigation process so visitors can quickly find what they are looking for. We did this by condensing the tab list and by using a hierarchical structure to organise content.

We are particular proud of the Resources page, which makes searching for resources a breeze thanks to the interactive Resource Finder which enables teachers and students to browse by curriculum level and topic headings.

Alan Kinder, CEO of the GA said: ‘The GA website has long been the first port of call for thousands of teachers from across the UK and beyond who are looking for practical help alongside professional guidance for teaching geography. We are re-launching our website in order to make it more relevant and responsive to teachers’ needs.

We hope you will find what you need more easily, whether you are searching for resources, CPD, journals or curriculum updates. In coming months we will also be enriching the site with video and other new forms of content. Help us to make the GA website even better in future by letting us know what you think of these changes.

This site has a responsive design to enable you to browse from your phone and tablet with the same ease as on your laptop or PC.

We would like to thank everyone involved in the project, particularly the Website Development Group whose contribution was invaluable. Over the coming months you will see some additional developments to the site. If you have any comments or spot any faults please email us.
