About the GTE Conference

The Geography Teacher Educators’ (GTE) Conference takes place in January each year. The conference brings together university-based and school-based GTEs from near and far to exchange ideas, discuss research and debate current issues within geography education.

The Geography Teacher Educators’ Conference runs independently of the Geographical Association (GA), but is grateful to benefit from GA administrative support.

2026 GTE Conference

The last GTE Conference was held in Manchester from the 23 – 25 January 2026. This was an in-person conference, so it provides the opportunity for attendees to network and discuss ideas.
