How can schools build the green workforce of the future?

GA Chief Executive, Steve Brace, has had an article published on Schools Week called ‘Labour must put sustainability at the heart of its opportunity mission’ discussing how schools can begin building the green workforce of the future.

The Government has made commitments on clean power, to achieve these commitments a new generation of workers in green careers will be required, estimated to make up 50% of new jobs.

A YouGov survey (June 2024) identified that ‘70% of all UK adults agree that young people need to study geography to prepare them with the skills & knowledge needed to work in “green jobs”.’
