The GA is delighted to announce the launch of the International Geography Network (IGN), a collaboration between the GA, Discover the World Education, GeographyPods and Geographyalltheway.
Our aim is to bring together geography teachers and educators working in international schools around the world. It’s a place to share ideas, discover new approaches, develop your practice, and connect with people who understand the opportunities and challenges of teaching geography in an international setting.
As part of the network, international teachers will have opportunities to:
- Connect and exchange ideas with geography teachers around the world.
- Access teaching resources and support from the Geographical Association and Discover the World Education.
- Take part in free professional development and online TeachMeet-style events.
- Meet fellow educators through regional, face-to-face events.
- Share resources, ideas and best practice tailored to the international community.
- Collaborate on the opportunities and challenges facing international geography departments.
- Become more connected with the wider geography education community, including opportunities around the GA Annual Conference.
