We are excited to launch the GA’s Subject Leader Development Programme (SLDP) in September 2026. Aimed at aspiring or existing geography leaders, the programme includes nine online sessions throughout the year, an action research project and the support of our experienced subject lead, Aidan Hesslewood.
The SLDP includes one year GA membership, Planning your coherent 11-16 geography curriculum: a design toolkit, the GA Professional Award and a certificate. We are offering the first 25 places at a significant discount rate of £600 (normal price will be £1,200). Sign up is available until 30 September 2026.

There is a real lack of middle-leader support and training available and so, we wanted to provide a comprehensive, subject-specific programme to fill this gap.
