About Bottesford CE Primary School

Bottesford Primary School is located in the largest village in the Vale of Belvoir, Leicestershire. Bottesford has a population of 3000 and lies close to the border of Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire.

The school has a roll of 215 four to eleven year olds, with the majority of pupils being White British and few having an entitlement to free school meals. All children have English as their primary language. The proportion of pupils with special educational needs is below the national average. The school holds the Full International School Award, Activemark, Healthy Schools and Eco School Green Flag awards.

Sycamore Class, a Year 5 group, took part in this project led by class teacher Alison Longden. The children are lively and enthusiastic learners who also enjoy a wide range of interests including football, gardening and music. The class has 29 children (14 boys, 15 girls) including four children with Special Educational Needs.
