Each year the GA’s International Special Interest Group (ISIG) organizes an oversea GA Study Tour for teachers of geography. Visit the GA Study Tours page to find out about previous trip locations including Borneo, Nicaragua, India and China.
The following resource has been created by teachers who took part in the India study tour and wanted to share their experiences and knowledge.
The 2019 India Study Tour explored themes of sustainable management of resources, ecosystems, biodiversity, ecotourism, development, community projects, and water management. The resource for this includes a PowerPoint which explores community-based projects in rural regions of India, aimed at empowering marginalised women and communities.
