Take a set of nine images of features around the school and crop them to just a small area. See below for an example.

Provide pupils with the set of the zoomed images and send them off to find each feature. Attach a letter to each feature P-H-A-Y-R-O-G-G-E that they write down at each place and unscramble to spell G-E-O-G-R-A-P-H-Y.

Discuss how helpful images can be to help recognise places – would they be as helpful for places we don’t know?
