Nicaragua Study Tour

Nicaragua flag

Each year the GA’s International Special Interest Group (ISIG) organises an oversea GA Study Tour for teachers of geography. Visit the GA Study Tours page to find out about previous trip locations including Borneo, Nicaragua, India and China.

The following resources have been created by teachers who took part on these study tours and wanted to share their experiences and knowledge.

The 2022 Nicaragua Study Tour explored themes of biodiversity, deforestation, climate change, environmental and renewable projects, and community-based conservation tourism. The resources include a PowerPoint of images from Nicaragua which can be used as a starting point in class discussion, and some class activities which can be used in the classroom.
