The Ordnance Survey (OS) is Great Britain’s mapping agency. OS provides mapping which informs, guides and inspires.

The GA has enjoyed a strategic partnership with the OS since 2010, but its collaborative relationship with the Survey stretches back to a 1903 agreement to supply schools with maps at educational rates.

The OS supports the GA to carry out its work and charitable aims in support of geography education, whilst the GA provides opportunities for the OS to work closely with the GA, with teachers and other educational professionals – for example through the provision of continuing professional development in the use of maps and mapping.
