Teaching Immigration in European Schools

The GA is pleased to draw our members’ attention to an exciting new project focused on teaching immigration in schools.

The aim of the Teaching Immigration in European Schools(TIES) project is to develop ten innovative and easy-to-use teaching modules for 14 to 15-year-old students that will cover a variety of aspects on migration. The project is led by a group of experienced migration researchers based at Leiden University and the German Institute for Global and Area Studies, teachers, and students, who want to create a teaching platform on migration as a resource for educators across Europe.

To make sure that the teaching modules developed are living up to the needs and expectations of teachers, the group are currently conducting a series of interviews with teachers across several European countries, including the UK.

Download the Teacher information sheet If you are interested in getting involved in the project, or receiving access to the teaching modules, contact the team by email or Facebook.
