Flood Action Week is an opportunity for your whole school community to strengthen understanding of local flood risk and take practical action to prepare for flooding.
Did you know?
Around 6.3 million homes and businesses, and nearly half of England’s 20,000 schools, are in areas at risk of flooding.
Climate change means we’re experiencing wetter winters and drier summers, with a greater likelihood of intense rainfall that can lead to sudden and severe flooding.
Flood ready? Or not?
Flooding can happen even after a dry summer. Have you explored the flood risk around your home, your journey and your school?
