The GA has launched its Gifts and Legacies Fund into which members can make donations to support the Association’s work. Donations will be invested responsibly, in line with the GA’s investment policy.
Full details on how to donate are available at Donate to the GA. This link also includes information about how you can increase the value of your donation through applying gift aid, and also how making a gift to the GA can provide additional tax relief to a donor.
Currently the GA is encouraging members to donate towards:
- either the costs of producing the new edition of Leading Primary Geography or the new secondary handbook, Teaching Secondary Geography
- or the longer term strategic development of the Association. We will publicly acknowledge members’ support, if they would like us to do so.
We are delighted to share the news that a number of members have already made donations and/or indicated that they will leave a legacy to the GA. In addition, a legacy donation from Judy Mansell will provide support towards the costs of the new secondary handbook, and the GA’s Geography and Green Skills mini-report was supported through a donation from a long standing member.
Any gift – large or small – will support the GA’s work. If you’d like to discuss a potential gift or legacy with Steve Brace, the GA’s Chief Executive, please contact him on chiefexec@geography.org.uk.
The GA is privileged to have such supportive and generous members.
We would like to thank everyone who has previously supported our work and also those who are contributing to our current activities.
