What are GA Pathway conversations?

The GA was founded by teachers of geography who wanted to network with each other to share ideas, experiences and resources and this remains at the forefront of what we do. GA Pathway conversations offers a way for teachers of geography to network online with others who work in a similar phase or who are at a similar career stage as them.

You can choose to start a conversation or contribute to an existing one.  There is also the ability to attach files and so you can share ideas and resources easily and securely too. Each conversation will be moderated by one of the GA’s experienced volunteers who will be able to direct you to additional support should you need it.

How do I get started with GA Pathway conversations?

GA Pathway conversations is part of the GA CPD toolkit, shown below. GA members can register for and access their GA CPD toolkit through their member portal.

For the academic year 2024–2025 we are piloting access to the GA CPD toolkit with members who subscribe to Teaching Geography. However, those members who purchase the GA Professional Award or GA Enhanced Professional Award will also be able to access the GA CPD toolkit.
