Instructions for running the quiz

• The information and instructions on running the quiz will be on this webpage in the autumn.
• Teachers fill in a very short form (name, school, number of students taking part, etc). They submit the completed form and then receive a pop-up. If this does not appear please ensure popups are enabled on your browser or contact info@geography.org.uk.
• There will be a link on the pop-up. Click the link to go to a ‘Duplicate’ of the National Geography Olympiad 2026–27 quiz.
• Open this and click the ‘Duplicate it’ button. This will give you access to the quiz and will provide you with a link to share with your students. You will be able to collect your own students’ responses.
• Click ‘Collect responses’, and then ‘Copy link’ and give the link to your students.
• Students then complete the quiz.
• Teachers can view their students’ results by clicking ‘View responses’.
• Teachers then send their top XX scores to the GA via a form that will be available on the GA website.
• On a specified date the GA will send out the certificate templates for the students via email.
• The highest student results will be passed to our contact for the International Geography Olympiad who will begin their process (please note the GA is not involved in this process).
